I am a freelance editor working for a range of clients, largely from my home. I’ve worked in book publishing for around 20 years, including trade, educational and digital publishing. The majority of my current work involves copyediting and proofreading non-fiction, school books and digital resources; however, I have also worked with individual clients on self-publishing projects. I work on Mac and PC, and I’m proficient in Word, Excel and Adobe products including Acrobat, InDesign and Photoshop. My recent/current clients include:
I also run LOUD WOMEN, a not-for-profit organisation for women in music, putting on regular gigs and festivals for female-led bands, and promoting musicians through a blog, social media, subscription newsletters, record releases and radio appearances.
I write music, play and sing in my own band, I, Doris.
I also write music reviews and interviews for sites including Louder Than War.
I’m Mum to two awesome little boys.
Sometimes I cook.
Drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to talk about any of these things.
